“Hang in There” (An Original Poem)
Like a boxer staggering on the ropes
don’t condemn yourself for being hit,
praise yourself for fighting,
maintain your hopes.
You’re a champion but sometimes
you must escape the ring,
there are better things in life than boxing
And after winter comes the spring.
But after spring
the winter will come again you say,
perhaps, but perhaps not,
perhaps there will come a new day.
