Reading legitimate journalism every day leaves me feeling that we are indeed descending into totalitarianism. I don’t know enough about the powers pushing back against this assault on representative government and the rule of law to know if they can contain this threat.
Perhaps Trump will not fire Mueller, perhaps he will try to get law enforcement agencies to seize Mueller’s documents and arrest members of his team. Trump is obviously guilty of multiple constitutional and criminal misdeeds and if cornered he is unpredictable. He will not go down easy.
